Róbert manages daily activities, including finances and staffing, and strategic planning and growth of the Nature Research Centre. He is active in various research, including those connected to the American mink (Neovison vison) and other non-native species, mammal ecology and population ecology of birds, e.g. the white-tailed eagle, seabirds and waders. He is also involved in public education and consulting on nature conservation and environmental issues, e.g. related to the environmental certification of the municipalities in the Snæfellsnes peninsula.
